She should carry on with the tour.
The fact that we are even talking about this today means that these terrorists are achieving their goals and they are having their desired effect.

I find it difficult to not let my revulsion move from this group to the entirety of Islam for spawning this group.
I have a beautiful leather bound copy of the Qur'an that I purchased in the 1970's in the market place in Rabat Morocco.
I have read it many times. It is full of wonderful things and yet, it is also full of admonitions of what to do to infidels, people who live alternate lifestyles, and apostates. For years I mistakenly took these admonitions only for their historical significance. I saw them as actions or advise from an evil source to an oppressed group that was trying to survive in a harsh world that saw them as  illiterate nomads constantly warring with each.

But moving these writings into today's world and into action is sickening.
And yet, it is not unexpected when you know the history of mankind and their religions.

A few years ago I toured a museum in Ronda, Spain. It had many of the devices used on heretics, disbelievers, and unlucky souls during the Inquisition. They were horrible. One device had even been used by Francisco Franco during his last years in power in the early 1970's. And that wasn't too long ago!

Extreme sick and violent behavior is still taking place today in some cults and some off-shoots of the larger religious groups whose names we all recognize. Some even have Hollywood Actors in their rosters and others have strictly American roots.

Fundamentalism, whether its roots are in ancient texts from madmen or from modern-day psychopaths with narcissistic personality disorders are sick and just plain "suck."

Why are humans constantly and willingly going under the spell of these "ass-hats" and their delusions?
And why haven't these susceptible mentally deranged followers weeded themselves out of the general populace by now?
They should all get Darwin awards in a very large and lethal caliber.

Added later after a good lunch....

The previous post posed a rhetorical question.

Having been a cult in my early 20's I know full well how and why people join cults. Guys join to get laid, they are dumb, get something back, get close to power, be part of a group, they are lonely, or they are heavily recruited by trained professionals.

I guess my question should have been, "Why do people stay in cults when they grow up and should know better?"

Feel Good News / Memorial Day weekend
« Last post by Franco on May 25, 2017, 01:20:24 AM »
Keep a soldier in your thoughts especially knowing what they have been through. Vets across the world in every country are impacted by a war that never ends in their heads, keep them in your thoughts as well as anyone you know that has been lost.

Is anyone having a cook-out or travelling this extended weekend?  Been forever since we last had a holiday, so it seems anyway...

Now attacking folks outside of events...very sad day for sure and I hope they find anyone connected to this asshat.

I did see where Arianna Grande cancelled her entire EU tour...I think (just my opinion) and I know it would be hard for her feeling guilty, but this is the desired effect the scum bags want. I respect her decision, but she would send a greater message by carrying on....

Any thoughts on this?

I most certainly did NOT vote for this dumbass.  LOL  I am appalled everyday of my life as every day is more horrifying than the day before. The big topper to me today was the commencement speech he gave to the military academy....where all he did was whine about how he is being treated.  DJT is a disgrace to this Country.

You better watch your mouth young lady, those kin folk in KY you have will come and "git you"  lol   :P ;)

Sir Roger George Moore, KBE was an English actor. He is best known for playing secret agent James Bond in seven feature films between 1973 and 1985.

He also played Simon Templar in the television series The Saint between 1962 and 1969.

Born: October 14, 1927, Stockwell, London, United Kingdom
Died: May 23, 2017, Switzerland

Spouse: Kristina Tholstrup (m. 2002–2017)

Quotes:

Teach love, generosity, good manners and some of that will drift from the classroom to the home and who knows, the children will be educating the parents.

I enjoy being a highly overpaid actor.

There is nothing glamorous about death.

He did some great humanitarian work around the world after his acting days and will be missed by many.

Well, they say they come in 3's....wonder who is next?

Who do you consider to be the "best" Bond actor?

1   Sean Connery: 1962–1967, 1971 and 1983
2   David Niven: 1963
3      George Lazenby: 1969
4   Roger Moore: 1972–1985
5   Timothy Dalton: 1986–1994
6   Pierce Brosnan: 1994–2004
7   Daniel Craig: 2005–present
